BSAVA Manual of Raptors, Pigeons and Passerine Birds

This Manual replaces the successful BSAVA Manual of Raptors, Pigeons and Waterfowl. As waterfowl are note covered in the BSAVA Manual of Farm Pets, we have used this opportunity to include previously uncovered birds such as canaries and exotic finches. The book addresses the husbandry, medicine and surgery for the three groups of birds.

Great use is made of colour photographs throughout to illustrate bird types, housing and clinical conditions and procedures. While concentrating on easy access to information for use within the busy veterinary clinic, the Manual will also serve as an introductory text for those wishing to study the subject in greater depth.

  • Natural history and husbandry
  • Clinical techniques and diagnostic imaging
  • Soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
  • Formulary and laboratory reference ranges
