Cytological diagnosis is a growth area of veterinary practice. Cytology is a simple, cost effective and rapid diagnostic tool that may be widely applied to either external or internal body lesions. There is a range of cytological sampling techniques that may be performed in general practice with minimal laboratory equipment. The most challenging aspect of Cytology is the microscopical interpretation of samples.
This course provides an opportunity to develope you skills in cytological interpretation. the approach to examination of cytology specimens will be reviewed and the remainder of the course will be based upon examination of case material that will be assessed individually before group discussion using a digital projecting microscope.
